Today is the last day of the Georgia Renaissance Festival’s 2026 season. These gates close this afternoon and don’t reopen until next spring. If you haven’t made it out yet this year, this is your last chance. Jousting tournaments, 14 live stages, 200 craft artisans, roasted turkey legs, flower crowns, and characters who take the whole thing wonderfully seriously. The Legends of the Fae theme closes the season with magical storytelling and mythical creatures front and center. About 40 minutes from McDonough. Children 5 and under are free. Get tickets online before you leave. No gate sales.

Henry County just cut the ribbon on 43 acres of riverfront trails, a 2.4-mile walking path with boardwalk and pedestrian bridge, and a kayak launch. Twenty years in the making and it’s finally open.
